WVPT Auditions

Auditions for The Christmas Carol – The Musical will be held On Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 1 pm – 6 pm at South Jr. High School’s theatre located just inside the main entrance.
Beginning October 1, 2009, each person interested in auditioning should call West Virginia Public Theatre at 304-291-4117 to make an appointment. On the day of the audition, everyone should bring a headshot (preferably 8X10) and resume listing musical training and performance history.
Everyone auditioning on October 11th should prepare 25 bars of an upbeat tempo and ballad in the style of the show (bring sheet music with you that day) and come prepared for a short dance callback beginning at 4:00pm.

Scrooge
A mean spirited, uncaring, bitter miser. A very strong actor who sings very well. High Baritone. Age 45 +
Bob Cratchit
Baritone . Scrooge’s bookkeeper. A meek, not well off man with a family he adores. High Baritone. Age 30’s +
Mrs. Cratchit:
Bob Cratchit’s loving wife and mother of his children. Actress who sings well, Ensemble Double. Age: 30 +
Jacob Marley
Tenor. The ghost of Scrooge’s former business partner. Strong Actor who Sings Age 45+ . Ensemble Double.
Lamplighter/Ghost of Christmas Past
Dual role. Largest singing role of the 3 ghosts. Young lady in her 20’s. Ensemble Double
